Hitachi Cable's Singlemode Outside Plant Fiber Optic Cables Receives RUS Acceptance

Manchester, NH April 2002: Hitachi Cable Manchester, Inc.'s line of armored and unarmored singlemode outside plant fiber optic cables have been listed by the USDA for use in rural utilities service (RUS) applications. Hitachi Cable's single and dual jacket outside plant cables are fully water-blocked and suitable for inter-building installations in lashed aerial, duct, and underground conduit environments where fiber counts of 6 to 288 are required. Optional corrugated steel armoring is available for additional protection under harsh conditions and/or for use in direct burial applications.
