Detailed Description of IEEE 1394 Firewire Cable Firewire Cable Diagram
Physical Construction Description: These composite IEEE 1394 Firewire Cables consist of six conductors; four signal (2 pair) and two power. The four signal conductors are extruded with foamed polyolefin. The conductors are twisted into pairs. Each pair is wrapped with an AL/PET (100% coverage, 25% min. overlap, AL side out) and braided. The two individually shielded pairs and two power conductors are then cabled together with a left-hand lay. An overall braid shield is applied and jacketed with Hi-Flex PVC. The 40395 consist of four signal (2 pair) wires. The signal conductors are extruded with foamed polyolefin and twisted into pairs. The two pairs are cabled together with a left hand lay, shielded with an AL/PET (100% coverage, 25% min. overlap, AL side out) and braided. The firewire cable is then extruded with a Hi-Flex PVC.
