Historically, data transmission rates double every 18 months. IEEE, ATM, and other applications are relying on more sophisticated electronics, transceiver technology (including new fiber optic light sources), and encoding/cancellation schemes to realize this throughput. As a result, the integrity and performance of new and retrofit cabling is more critical now than ever. The HIT Program is a standards-based, hands-on educational workshop, which focuses on the design and installation practices necessary to deliver new and emerging applications.

Who benefits from HIT Program Training?

  • Cabling Designers
  • Cabling Installers and Technicians
  • Contractors and Consultants
  • Purchasers/System Specifiers
  • End-Users

Students/attendees who successfully demonstrate a working knowledge and understanding of the HIT Program curriculum are awarded HIT Certification. This qualified group of installers and designers play an integral role in the issuance of a HIT Cabling System warranty. The HIT Cabling System is only offered through HIT Certified Installers.

HIT Cabling Systems are backed by a 25-year product performance and applications assurance for channels, permanent links, and basic links featuring cables from Hitachi Cable Manchester, Inc. and HCM approved connecting hardware. All warranty elements are coordinated through HCM headquarters to ensure one point of contact for all aspects of warranty execution
and disposition.
